Campton Place Mini-Review
Campton Place is a Union Square restaurant that has long been an incubator for the country’s best talent, from Bradley Ogden (Lark Creek Inn) to Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park). Now it’s helmed by Peter Rudolph, who puts out refined dishes with French and Asian overtones. The real star, though, is pastry chef Boris Portnoy, who is curious, daring, and inventive. Desserts might marry creamy epoisse cheese with vanilla bean ice cream, or lemon curdwith coffee sabayon in a tart shell. |
